Overdrive
That is the perfect word to describe what mode my body is operating in right now. Overdrive.
I haven't slept since Friday night, the only reason I'm still going right now is because of the three cans of Sobe Adrenaline Rush I sucked down last night during our spur-of-the-moment LAN. Yeah. Jared decided he had more time than he thought he would have after his FBLA trip was over, so we set plans into motion to go over his house and LAN again. Jared's dad, however, suggested that we have it over here. I'm guessing he was getting tired of us setting up shop every weekend, which is understandable.
I'll have to admit, getting the LAN up and running at my house was a wee bit more complicated than getting it working at Jared's house. I mean that in, it took longer to setup; once we got it working I have to say it works better than it works at Jared's house. We've both got ample keyboard and mouse room, we both get our own speakers, and Jared can use his wireless internet card. I may just be noticing all of this stuff because being at my house gives me the homefield advantage. I had to go through hell and high water to get the router Jared brought over to play nice with both of my computers, but I finaly got it working right. It took a little config magic to get things trucking like they're supposed to. At current I've got Jared's router "routing" my internet to three computers, which is cool.
Jared went to work a while ago. Its about one thirty now, and Jared left at...I think he left at nine something. He left his computer and things here, he didn't want to go through the trouble of packing all his things up before he headed to work. He tells me he'll be back at about five forty. Jared also left his digital camera here. I've been taking a bunch of pictures with it, just for novelty value.
Arg...I've used the phrase "running on empty" before, but this time I mean it. If I were to lay my head down on this desk, I would be out and counting Zs by the time this entry finished publishing. I've out for now. Peace.
