Untapped Talent
I don't consider myself good at drawing, not by a one-eye-closed, broken rifle-scope, sniper's range longshot. I know people like Jared can make art happen when they put a pencil to a pad, but what happens when I do so sure as hell isn't art. The strange thing is that I like to draw, I enjoy ruining perfectly good pieces of paper with my horrible blotches of graphite. Even with all of the spare-time sketching I do, I don't think I've improved any. Or at least I didn't think so until now. I was passing the time until the bell rang by messing around with a pencil and paper, trying to draw Tycho from Penny-Arcade. Now, it might have been pure chance, or perhaps some glitch in the matrix, but it came out pretty good. I really like it. It's not a Rembrandt, but it is yeah a lot better than most of the junk I crank out. I can't scan and post it from here, but I will when I get home. Bells coming, gotta' go. Peace.
